Educator-in-residence · 30+ years with kids in the classroom
In 1995 my parents arrived in Canada from the Netherlands without a word of English — for a while, my sister and I did the talking for them.
Back home, my mother was a teacher. Her Dutch credentials didn’t count here, so she started over as an Educational Assistant — working with children of every age, from every country, language, and culture. Along the way she found her specialty: supporting autistic children and kids with special needs. She loved working with kids every single day, right up until she retired.
Now she reads every Coolbot story before your family does. If a page isn’t kind, clear, and true to how children actually learn — it doesn’t ship.

Who is Coolbot?
A friendly robot with a classic, timeless personality — calm, kind, and a little funny. He teaches kids how to handle big feelings and take care of our planet through stories, puzzles, games, and humor instead of lectures. Drawn in a single cobalt-blue ink, like the vintage comics we grew up loving.
Kids as participants
Coolbot doesn’t want an audience — he wants helpers. Every issue invites kids to draw, solve, decide, and practice. Think of the shows families love for their warmth, then add pencils.

Every story is created and reviewed by real parents, artists, and educators before it reaches your printer. We use AI as a creative tool, always human-led — and we explain exactly where and how.
